Our Dream …
We would love to grow an annual event wich promotes, educate and celebrate blues through a festival accessible to the local community and all the blues lovers.
We wish that the City will vibrate for the 3 days of the festival, will inspire youngsters, will offer opportunities for volunteers and economical benefits to the local business community.
We want that Focsani Blues Festival to be and remain a memorable experience in the mind of all participants, spectators, artists and all of the others.
We will be happy to bring Blues to the people and therefore are proud to introduce you to
FBF – Focsani Blues Festival
September, 8th to 10th, 2017
The Pilot Edition took place in 2015 and it was initiated by our colleague from Canada, Chris Cigolea, master in trumpet and conductor of Guelph Symphony Orchestra.
The feedback from all the crowd was positive and at that moment we realized that an event like this is wanted and needed in our City, and with this, we would like to show everyone that Focsani is not just an industrial city, but a place where culture and music are highly appreciated.
SAVE THE DATE!
The festival is FREE ADMITTANCE!
The festival is organized by Asociatia Culturala ESTICA, with the support of the local authorities, and it relies exclusively on the partnerships developed alongside the local business community, and with the support and help of national and international companies.
In September you will witness a special event where you will see Romanian and international artists, you can participate in workshops and masterclasses, and you can stay late at night at the jam sessions.
Asociatia ESTICA would love to thanks, all of the people involved in the festival, spectators, partners, sponsors, volunteers, local authorities and all of the artists.
Focsani Blues festival is the largest and biggest free access festival in Romania.
Last year, at our first edition we had close to 12,000 spectators present in Piata Unirii for the 3 days of the festival.
In September this year, we expect more than 15,000 to witness and listen the music of 14 bands, mostly from the US and a touch of ‘nordic’ twist, with artists from Denmark, Norway, and Finland.
Irland, UK, Brasil, Italy, Germany, and other countries will be well represented with artists.
You are all invited with family, friends, and schoolmates to write together another page of this beautiful story!
